Design Process

We begin with a consultation to discuss the primary goals and objectives for the project including functional and spatial needs, as well as the desired look and feel of space.
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire to provide deeper understand of needs, style, budget, specific requests and the scope of the project.
Photos and rough measurements for the spaces will be taken

Based on the information gathered in the pre-design phase, we will begin developing concepts and solutions for the spaces involved.
Detailed measurements will be taken if needed, and preliminary drawings will be created to incorporate space planning and furniture layouts. Sketches will be presented for initial review and revision
We will create conceptual design boards that provide visual images representing options for furniture, color palettes, fixtures, finishes and other design elements. Design boards will be presented for review and revision

Once we have agreed on a preliminary plan, we will develop additional plans in greater detail as needed. These could include floor plans, elevations, electrical plans or other drawings
We will make selections for furniture, fixtures, wallcovering, fabrics, décor and equipment (as needed) as well as colors and finishes. Based on these selections, we will provide a cost estimate for the scope of work
We will determine if contractors, sub-contractors, millworkers or other tradespeople will need to be contacted for bids

Once we’ve received final approval of the design concept, we will create working drawings as needed. These can include detailed floor plans, furniture plans, electrical and finishing plans
We will create specifications and schedules for all items to be ordered including furniture, fixtures, millwork, flooring, paint, lighting plans and fixture selections
If additional outside services are needed we will seek out competitive bids

Contractors, subcontractors, millworkers and other service providers will be selected and begin work as needed
All furniture, fixture, equipment and other items will be ordered Deliveries will be coordinated, and all items inspected upon delivery
Installation of furniture, window treatments, rugs, equipment and other elements will be overseen
